Hero Electric Optima HX Single Battery Overview

Hero Electric, one of India’s leading manufacturers of electric two-wheelers, has updated its Optima HX City-Speed Electric Scooter. This electric scooter comes in two models: a single battery and a twin battery pack.

The Hero Electric Optima HX is an electric scooter with a long- range, and Hero Electric claims to have obtained the greatest results by equipping it with a dual or single lithium-ion battery. This electric scooter is discontinuous.

 Features of Optima HX Single Battery

• The new electric scooter has a full-digital instrument cluster with an advanced multifunctional digital display system that displays key information such as a speedometer, trip meter, low battery signal, and other many features.
• The electric scooter comes with a USB port to charge the mobile phone during the ride. 
• Additional features such as Bluetooth and GPS connectivity are expected to be available in electric scooters as an alternative technology.

Optima Hx Single Battery Price and Variants

Hero Optima HX is available in two variants – Single Battery and Double Battery. This E-Scooter now costs Rs. 62,190 for the entry-level single battery variant while the double battery will set you back by Rs. 77,490. All the prices are EX-showroom and inclusive of the FAME 2 subsidy. This makes it one of the cheapest electric scooters in the country to feature cruise control.

Range and Speed of Optima HX Single Battery

The ARAI has claimed it can travel a riding range of around 82 km/ch on a single charge with a top speed of 45 km/h. This electric scooter accelerates in (0 -40 kmph) 8 seconds quickly. It has three riding modes – Economy, Sport Plus, and Turbo that will affect the range and performance.

Display and Connectivity System

The Hero Electric Optima HX Single Battery scooter features sporty LED headlamp combinations, beautiful LED DRLs (daytime running lights), and LED turns indicator lights. It has a fully digital instrument cluster with an advanced multifunctional digital display system. Also, it has Speedometer, odometer, and Tripmeter.

Brakes, Wheels & Suspension details

For a pleasant ride, the Hero Electric Optima HX has telescopic fork suspension at both ends. In terms of safety, the new current electric scooter Hero Electric Optima Single Battery has drum brakes at both front and rear ends, as well as a standard braking system to enhance road safety. This scooter has stylish alloy wheels and tubeless tires which make the scooter lighter and more stable. 

Battery and Motor details

The Hero Electric optima HX Single Battery has a top speed of 42 kmph and is powered by a 550w BLDC hub electric motor. The highest output of the motor is 1200w. The single battery variant features a removable 51.2V, 30AH lithium-ion battery pack with an 82km range on a single charge.

The Hero Electric Optima HX electric scooter charges its single battery using a smart home charger, which takes 4 to 5 hours to fully charge. It makes portable battery charging easy and practical, As a result, the battery can be charged everywhere.

Subsidies and Tax exemption on Hero Electric Optima HX Single Battery

Optima HX Single Battery Electric Scooter gets a FAME 2 subsidy of Rs 51000 from the central government, which is already included in the ex-showroom price. You also get support from the state government, like Rs 11250 in Delhi, Rs 22,500 in Gujarat, and Rs 5,625  in Rajasthan. State subsidy varies from state to state. Ask your nearest dealer.

License and Registration 

You need no license or Registration in India for scooters that have their top speed capped at 25km per hour or have a motor of 250w or lower. However, the Hero Electric Optima HX is powered by a 550 W Hub Motor and the top speed is around 42 kmph, thus it requires a license and registration.
