Okinawa Praise Pro is an Electric scooter. The Praise is Okinawa’s premium electric scooter and sports features to justify its ‘premium’ tag. It generates 1000w power from its motor with both front and rear disc brakes and it comes up with an assisted braking system. Also, it gets a host of features like a side-stand indicator, Anti-theft sensor, and keyless entry and finds my scooter.

Other than this it is a little expensive proposition but at the same time, it is perfect in all senses, considering it to be a new entrant in a new industry. The praise is a perfect option for first-time riders, college-goers, and elderly people.

The Okinawa Praise pro gets an aggressively styled LED headlamp unit flanked by LED DRLs and turn indicators integrated into the steering unit. 

Brakes, Wheels & Suspension

For a pleasant ride, The Okinawa Praise pro has telescopic fork suspension at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. In terms of safety, the new current electric scooter stopping power comes from dual disc brakes at the front and a disc brake at the rear, a first for this segment. It has an E-ABS braking system with alloy wheels and tubeless tires or for its rear suspension, it gives you a Double Shocker with Dual Tube Technology.

Range and Speed of Okinawa Praise Pro

The ARAI has claimed it can travel a riding range of around 88 km/ch on a single charge with a top speed of 58 km/h. The scooter gets three modes – Eco, Sport, and Turbo. In terms of top speed figures, the e-scooter is limited to 30-35kmph in Eco mode, 50-60kmph in Sports mode, and 65-70kmph in Turbo mode. The scooter is capable of scaling gradients up to 15 degrees.

Battery and Motor of Praise Pro

The Okinawa Praise Pro is powered by a 72V/ 45 Ah battery which is being offered in both, VRLA type and Lithium-ion battery configuration. While the VRLA takes around six to eight hours, the lithium-ion batteries take 2-3 hours to charge. The praise Pro is offered only with a lithium-ion battery. It has a BLDC motor (waterproof) which generates 1000 WATT power from it.

Subsidies and Tax Exemption on Okinawa Praise Pro

Okinawa Autotech has announced that it has slashed the prices across its electric scooter range in India, thanks to the revision in the FAME II scheme. The company’s decision comes as a result of increased electric two-wheeler subsidies by the Government in the said scheme in recent times. The prices have been slashed in the range of Rs 7,000 to close to Rs 18,000 with effect from June 2021.

License and Registration

You need no license or Registration in India for scooters that have their top speed capped at 25km per hour or have a motor of 250w or lower. However, you do need to driver’s license to ride the praise electric scooter. You also needed to wear riding gear, irrespective of whether it was an electric or conventional two-wheeler.
