Ather 450X Gen 3 is a high speed electric scooter. Ather 450X Gen 3 latest flagship model is on sale. It was launched in India in July and had quite a few advantages over the previous generation 450 range. The key specification of Ather 450X Gen 3 is that it comes with a 3300W motor power which gives a range of 108 km, and a top speed that goes until 80 kmph.

The Ather energy 450x Gen 3 looks the same as its predecessor. It features a youthful design with great modern features. Overall the scooter appears just as sporty as before the small changes. It has both front and rear Disc brakes and a combined braking system for both wheels.

It rides on telescopic front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. The braking hardware comprises a single disc at both ends with regenerative braking. The Ather 450 rides on 12-inch alloys wrapped in MRF tires. It tips the scale at 111.6 kg and has a 22-liter under-seat storage space. It has a Front-3 Piston, Rear-Single Piston Calliper, and a tubeless tire.

The ARAI has claimed it can travel a riding range of around 105 km/ch on a single charge with a top speed of 80 km/h. This electric scooter accelerates quickly in (0 - 40 kmph) 8 seconds. The Ather Energy company has included four modes ( Sport/Ride/Eco/Smart Eco) in its 450X gen3 model.

Ather 450X Gen 3 runs on a battery capacity of 3.7kWh Portable. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery ensures that the scooter is long-lasting and can get easily charged. The scooter can quickly get fully charged within 4 hours and 30 minutes from any charging stations set up all over the country.

Motor and Power 

Ather 450X Gen3 generates a max power of 3.3 kW with a BLDC hub motor, mounted in a Rear Wheel with water and dust resistance allowing you to ride in any weather and terrain.

Display and Connectivity system

Ather has equipped the 450x Gen 3 with an updated 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The e-scooter gets Bluetooth connectivity, five riding modes (four for 450 Plus) – Smart Eco and Wrap (only for 450X) – LED illumination, parking assist (reverse gear), and a seven-inch touchscreen TFT display.

Also, it has a Speedometer, Odometer, and more useful function, which gives speed information. Apart from this, a Trip meter informs how many kilometers your scooter has covered.

 Ather 450X Gen 3 Electric Scooter gets a FAME 2 subsidy of Rs 51000 from the central government, which is already included in the ex-showroom price. You also get subsidies from the state government like Rs 11250 in Delhi, Rs 22,500 in Gujarat, and Rs 5,625 in Rajasthan. State subsidy varies from state to state. Ask your nearest dealer.

However, the Ather 450X Gen 3 is significantly more powerful, with a top speed of 80 km/h. So it becomes an RTO scooter. Therefore, a driver's license or number plate registration is mandatory to ride it. The Electric scooters that run on a 250 W motor and those with a top speed of 25km/h do not require a driver's license or number plate registration.
