Hero Photon is Hero Electric’s flagship high-speed electric scooter sold under the city speed line-up. Hero Electric has gifted a few Hero Electric Photon to the Ladakh Police force. It is a very comfortable speed electric scooter with many digital features which are given below. In the same way, the company offers a compact Lightweight electric scooter that is not very expensive and is easy to ride being a low-speed electric scooter. The Photon LP is a perfect option for first-time riders, college-goers, and elderly people.

Display and Connectivity System
Hero Electric Photon LP scooter gets an aggressive style with a Bulb headlamp, Tail lamp, and turn indicators. It has a digital Odometer, Speedometer, Tachometer, and regenerative braking system. The scooter has a bulb headlight and bulb front signal light. It has a front storage box and low-battery indicator.
This also gets an under-seat storage space and additional storage. There are many more features for example Bag Hook, Round Charging Point, Find my Bike, E-Lock, Reverse mode, Digital instrument Cluster, Portable Battery, etc.
Brakes, Wheels & Suspension
Hero Electric Photon LP scooter rides on a Telescopic fork suspension on the front side and a twin shock absorber on the rear side for a very comfortable ride. Moreover, the anchoring duties are handled by disc brakes on both sides. On the other hand, it rides on alloy wheels. It is the only scooter in Hero Electric’s current line-up that gets a front disc brake as standard.
Battery, Range, and Motor
Hero Electric Photon LP scooter has a 1200 Watt BLDC hub motor. Despite this, the motor has a peak power of 1.8 kW. It connects with a 72V/26 Ah lithium-ion battery pack which takes roughly 5 hours to fully charge. Likewise, the top speed of the Hero Electric Photon LP scooter is limited to 45 kmph. It has a single 26 Ah battery pack, giving the scooter a range of 90 km. This scooter has also the features of portable batteries.

Hero Electric Photon LP scooter Electric Scooter gives you 3 years of Vehicle Warranty, 3 years of battery warranty, and 36 months/30,000 km of Motor warranty (whichever is earlier). Typically scooters run around 6000-8000 km a year, so chances are that they won’t need a replacement for 6-7 years.
Subsidy and Tax Exemption
Hero Electric Photon LP scooter two-wheeler electric scooter is eligible for the FAME II subsidy scheme. Because this Hero Electric Photon LP scooter has powered by 1200 watt hub motor which gives a range of up to 90 km and a top speed of up to 45 km. The initial subsidy amounted to 10,000 per kWh and was caping at 20 % of the cost of the vehicle. In 2021 the government has revised the subsidy available to improve the rate of adoption of EVs, which had been relatively low till then.
License and Registration
However, you do need a license and Registration in India to ride this Hero Electric Photon LP 1200-watt-powered electric scooter with a range of up to 45 km. Meanwhile, when an electric two-wheeler has a power output of fewer than 250 watts. A top speed no greater than 25 kmph is not required for license and registration.
